What FLOSS is right for you?

There are so many kinds of dental floss out there. How do you know which one to choose? There are different kins of flosses for different needs.
For those people who have tight contacts between the teeth, then you probably have trouble getting floss in there. Try using a flat dental tape such as Glide or Oral-B satin. The dental tapes go in easier and remove 50% more plaque than the regular kind.
For those of you who have gaps or spaces between your teeth, you may need to go with a thicker type. Both the regular floss and dental tape will work okay for you. Just be sure you wrap it around each tooth in a C-shape and rub up and down.
If you have bridges, you will love super floss. Super floss is fat and fuzzy on one end and a stiff string on the other end to help push it under the bridge. Also floss threaders help to thread it under the bridge. People with braces need threaders. It really is the only way to clean braces.
Floss picks work great for people who do not like to floss. They are like a little sling shot. Leave them where you are going to be bored. Leave them by the couch when you are watching television. I plant them by my husband's computer. When he is waiting on it to download, he will grab a pick if he sees it laying there. Put them in your car too.
Proxa-brushes help get the food out of huge spaces. These are shaped like a little Christmas tree. They work well for problem areas.
I hope I have help shed some light on the dental flossing dilemma.
