Brushing teeth for kids

  •  Children can enjoy brushing teeth.

  • As an infant, the language of our child should be cleaned with gauze.
  • When the first tooth comes out, we recommend that you begin to brush his teeth.
  •  Parents are the ones who should brush their child's teeth until they are quite capable of managing on their own.
  • When your child reaches his second year, everything changes, including its attitude by brushing. Sometimes it can be a struggle.
  •  As a parent, must be patient in dealing with situations like this. You need to learn the process on how to make brushing a fun time for your child.
  • The first step is finding the right toothbrush.
  • You can find several types of brushes on the market nowadays.
  • The most popular with children are those that have cartoon characters on it. Your child will love even a toothbrush.
  • Let your child take your brush that fits your interest. He will get excited about brushing teeth. Some stores have called butterflies brushes. These are brushes that have the button on the bottom that activates a flashing light. The light flashes and will serve as a clock in the brushing. When the light stops flashing then brushing time is over. In my case, I can personally recommend the toothbrush that my son has used since it started to wash her pearly whites. Chicco toothbrushes have ergonomic handles, soft, specially designed to fit into small hands of thy son. He strands with rounded points that clean effectively without damaging the enamel. Brush head has rounded corners to prevent gum irritation. When I brought my son to choose which color he wants, she picked the pink on blue.

  • The next step is finding the right toothpaste. Choose a toothpaste is also important especially for children. Most young children do not yet know how to spit out the toothpaste that is why you need one that is free of fluoride. When you bring your child to purchase a toothpaste for him, tell him all flavors available and let him choose what he likes. When my daughter turned one, I bought Chicco toothpaste with banana flavour. I like the fact that the toothpaste contains fluoride salts soluble which prevent the formation of tartar and tooth structure.
  • The test time is usually a struggle between father and son. Parents fear this time. Always remember that we should be role models for our young children. Let your child watch brushing their teeth. Explain each step you do and show your kid is funny how to brush your teeth. Use exciting colours and great movements in explanation. Make sure you do what you want your child to do. Kids love to copy everything we do. Don't forget to brush back and his tongue as well. After brushing your teeth, encourage your child to try and be like ' MOM ' or ' dad '. Assist them in putting their toothpaste and brush them clean their teeth. Be patient with your child. It won't be perfect on the first try. Children who are first timers only suck on the brush. This is normal and probably will happen quite a bit. Be consistent and brush your teeth regularly with him around.
  • Wash your child's teeth should not be a struggle.
  •  follow these tips and your bathroom will not become a battlefield.
